Yeah, this is South East Florida one of several nut job hot spots in the state. This guy is also being looked at as a potential suspect in a dual homicide on Ft. Lauderdale Beach the night before. Maybe, maybe not.

To be honest. It’s not a surprise they only used a standard Charger Police Interceptor (isnt that a “hate crime” though? Dodge versus Jeep? ?)… but if it was a 392, they would’ve had to bring out the (literal) “big guns”. (Sad, without the pit maneuver, even the Miata could’ve taken out that Jeep. lol). But how most of us are built with steel bumpers, skids, exoskeletons, etc. they’d need to bring out the armored truck. ? side note: my dad is former FL LEO and have family in FHP… apparently “vehicles are getting faster and more efficient but still need high pursuit vehicles…. By the end of 2024, FHP will be ‘adopting’ TRX, Demons and for the beach areas, esp in Daytona, 3 lifted and armored 392 JLUs that can handle the beaches”. Scary thought FL has that kind of budget yet can’t keep teachers from asking kindergarteners what gender they identify as… ?
