Hood Looks good. is that a Rock Monster hood? Was thinking about doing the same thing. Did it come with any lining under the hood or fully open? Also did you get it painted from them? Looks awesome.

The hood is by NRG and the model is Avenger which is a viper style steel hood. It came unpainted and I had a local shop paint match it for me. Yes, it came with a heat shield liner and airflow ducts.

I forgot to push the fuses in and I used 5w30 instead of the Owner's Manual recommended 0w20. ?

All kidding aside, it was never overheated, although it ran very hot in some situations. My opinion is that the high pressure diecast block either warped enough to blow the head gasket or cracked. Diecastings can have residual stresses that are relieved by multiple cycles of high temperatures. I drew the short straw. The new engine is going to have the benefit of a larger raditator, bigger fan, more grill airflow, and a fan controller schedule that will all lower the low power demand (normal) operating temperature and reduce the peaks of the extreme circumstances.

It is
not that I am unhappy with the 3.6. It is more wishing they gave us better mileage. Starting to hear (occasionally) the cylinders knock. It could be my imagination. I have almost 175k.

Congratulations. I received my 20yr letter two mths ago. I also received my points correction and they still haven’t fixed them. Found out I need to fill out a points worksheet to go along with the PAR. Frustrating.
