I was having trouble with the TPMS readout on one sensor location regardless of what tire is in that position. In an effort to try and resolve the issue I unplugged the connector location in the driver side rear wheel well. Sprayed it with WD, didn't have electrical cleaner. Plugged it back in now no sensors are reading and several other warning lights have come on in the dash that were not on prior. Service 4 wheel drive and my gas gage isn't working. Will these reset by themselves after several starts? Wish I had left well enough alone. Any ideas will be appreciated.

WD40? Is that even safe to use on electrical connections?

Not the best stuff to use. I have since purchased some electrical contact cleaner and used that. Have not reassembled yet , too dark. Want to be sure gasket placement is correct etc. Will plug it back together tomorrow. Hope things work, keeping my fingers crossed.

Just to avoid confusion you might consider editing your first post to match the thread title …passenger side rear wheel well rather than drivers.

My understanding is the original WD40 can cause electrical connector issues over time, but hopefully cleaning everything out with something designed for electrical connectors soon after using it will be ok

Plugged connector back in and gas gage working. TPMS still shows one sensor not reading. Service 4WD light is out. I am done messing with this and plan to live with it as is.
