What winch will mount on the stock Rubicon bumper?

Just wondering what brand/size of winch can be mounted on the stock Rubicon bumper? And if you are getting one, where are you ordering it from?

There are a million places to get a warn but they are generally not on sale. Just do an internet search. Warn does rebates every once and awhile. Look for the rebate and jump on it when you see it.

Synthetic. Lighter and safer.

I would assume most winches will fit. When the Zeon came out I recall it not fitting in some recessed bumpers because it was larger than most. I would also go synthetic for safety/weight.

Yes it is recessed into the bumper. If my memory is correct, you need to purchase the Mopar winch plate as well.

Yep, with a winch kit from Mopar.

I've got a Smittybilt XRC 9500 with synthetic rope waiting to go in. I chose that one because it weighs in at only 46lbs. The Zeon is significantly heavier than that.

That's a lot of $ for a winch plate. Wish I had researched it prior to ordering the steel bumper group. $350 could go a long way towards a aftermarket bumper with winch mount built in.

I would go 10k if you plan on adding weight(Bumpers/wheels tires/gear etc..)

For rare usage, where you don’t plan to completely unspool the entire length of the cable ever, 8K shall suffice. 10K if you’re planning on a lot of off-road adventures and use

Yep. With a snatch block, you can double the weight capacity. If looking to use it frequently, I'd go at least 9000, but 8k will get you out of just about everything.

I went with a Smittybilt. I can tell you from experience they stand by the warranty with no issues. I had a problem text them over a few pic and had new part shipped very quickly.

The Mopar plate is way over price IMHO.
