There’s a nice guy named Kevin from the gladiator forums who came with us who would likely go with you. He saw me go through the squeeze, kindly shook my hand and said this isn’t for me, I’m not ready for this yet. Then he turned around and left.

I get the fact that nobody wants to spend 50k plus on a rig and tear it up. But at the same time a hundred dollar fender was well worth the trip for me.
I was able to plastic weld my mirror and looks like new.

Nice! Mine is a little looser than it used to be but it doesn’t move around when driving so I’m ok with that. I just gotta keep looking at this though ?

I'm open for a February trip. Idk if I am up for a triple threat Big Bear run like @Go1712 suggests, but I could be open to 1 or maybe 2 of those trails. Or something else entirely if someone has any ideas?

We missed you out there Brian. Really hoping Jeep takes care of you and gets this figured out. If they end up replacing it - let us know if you need help swapping parts!

much appreciated! Might take y'all up on it too. I just hope to get it back before the end of winter at this point but i wont hold my breath. Sadly been looking at other brand options at this point. I know now why people are giving up the Jeep life for other brands. customer service is crap. LOL. I am with hesitation looking and picking up an willys with 8speed auto so long as i can find it without the Etorque BS

I think you could do Gold Mountain and John Bull in a day depending on how large the group is. We attempted to do both in a day but the crowds over at John Bull made it impossible. We ended up doing Little John Bull instead which was also fun.

Holcomb is a good 1hr drive away from GM and JB so might want to save that one for a second day.

Thank you for the information. I will try and see what I can come up with and set a date that hopefully everyone can work with.
I may drive up Friday, camp/glamp then start early Saturday to do Gold Mountain and John Bull.
then Sunday Morning if anyone wants knock out Holcomb or just breakfast and go home.

we ran into a traffic nightmare at holcomb. 2 hour wait due to a moron trying to force his way through, and eventually gave up. there was a lot of backed up traffic. if NO traffic, and you know what youre doing at the rock garden, you can get through the whole trail pretty quickly.

at this point just ask them to swap in the 8spd and be done with it.

I’ve thought about it. I’ve even looked at getting a used 23 Willy’s with the auto and swapping all my stuff on to it then seeing what happens with my Jeep.
