The amount of stacked rocks in those pictures is insane, no wonder it was a mundane run!
That makes a lot of sense. We didn’t really add to any stacks so I didn’t pay attention but now looking at it, that makes a lot of sense. Usually when we stack we try to move what we placed afterwards back to its original state 🤷‍♂️

Either way though, running this still surprised me that Odessa and Doran do not qualify for BOH trails. Though I can see heart attack hill being a freaking wild ride back in the TJ days, lol.

Anyhow, Before long I hope to do one more sidewinder run and hit that optional line towards the end with @Craigger before I spend all of my summer weekends in big bear / the sierras

Heart attack hill was an interesting experience for me, personally. Because when I was at the top and even while going down it I thought “that’s it?” But after I turned around to go help spot at the top it really hits you, and I thought “holy crap we drove down that”. Here is a picture of my buddy at the top just for perspective for those who have not done it. I really can’t imagine how crazy this feels in a 2 door TJ. I’d probably have brown pants. In a 4 door JL it wasn’t so bad, but seeing it from the bottom is pretty humbling.
Id probably have brown pants if we had to start the trail climbing up this (yes I know you can’t run this trail backwards, just saying)

My buddy did the trail with us in the rain in a bone stock TJ. Didn’t even have decent tires on it, just passenger car tires. My sister in law was a little over zealous with the scary parts on the camera work, but you can only imagine the pucker factor.

Yeah serious pucker factor. That’s a great video.

Yup - I remember that one. Stabbing the brakes definitely makes for good photo ops 😬

Yeah, definitely want to get another Corral Canyon trip going. I'll look at my calendar.

Odessa do not qualify for BOH trails
I did Odessa decades ago in my Bronco II (see profile photo), but recently returned for a running race. As I was running through the obstacles I was asking myself how the hell did I get my Bronco through this?

You can submit new trails on the BOH app. I've submitted before but nothing ever came from it though.
