Looking for anyone that's done Pinyon Mountain Trail in the Anza Borrego State park in the last year or two. Plan on heading out there for the weekend camping at Stagecoach trails and would like to do a Saturday run down Pinyon, out fish creek and back around (on the road as it's all 1 way to get back once you hit the west side of Fish Creek).

Just wondering if JLU being just a hair wider (I think) than JKU will I hit anything going through the squeeze?

Thanks all.

OK, great trail - I'll post a few pics. Hit both rear fenders (light scrapes) @ the squeeze. Almost broke my rear window a mile down the road climbing next too a rock.

Bummer. Shall we assume you hit because you simply didn't fit?

Battle scars that really are not all that bad on the black plastic. Probably could have picked another line and not hit but once you pick a line it's the one you take.

Here's the Jeep in the prior to and in the squeeze..

The flex and extended Falcon 3.3's really help keep the Jeep planted.

I think yes you could get by with no scraping, just didn't happen for me.

Great trail - highly recommended just be ready for a possibly scrape or worse, broken window...

Stock JK was with me and made it through with just a tug on the license plate (minor bend nothing broken).

Great shots. Awesome to see someone else on this forum doing some actual 4 wheeling!! I'm impressed.
I don't mind scratches on the sliders, fenders, bumpers or underneath - but keep away from the paint and windows please :like:.

Looking forward to hitting Big Bear this summer, I assume that and the high deserts are your stomping grounds?

My grounds are wide? I live in Winnetka.
Big Bear is on my short list for sure. Love to hook up with you there. I currently am planning on death valley march 21-24.
I frequent Miller Jeep trail, Dove Springs this past Saturday with another forum member and again today with another forum member. Where are you located

Oceanside. Spent some time in Death Valley on a Dual Sport and my old Cherokee (XJ) many moons ago. Spread out place for sure.

I'll have to look up those trails you mentioned.

Miller Jeep Trail is closed for winter season. From Lockwood Valley to Gorman

Rowher Road and bothLookoutTrail go from Rowher Flats ohv park up and over to Bouquet Reservoir.

I am definitely interested in coming down into Anza Borrega

I wonder if my 1 34" wheel spacers and stock wheels will make it worse or better.

I will PM you next time we roll up to big bear.

I hit the back fenders both sides, the tires never got wedged so to speak.

Great pics and video. I am looking at doing this trail Saturday but I'm worried since my wheels and tires are really wide and stick out past the fender I will get stuck.

You won't get stuck unless they're past the width of the mirrors I'd say - and that's pretty wide. You'll have a blast, enjoy the challenge.
