Phone Holder Alternatives?

I like the Bulletpoint mount that mounts on top of the dash. I bought the left side version so I have most of the top cubby available for holding other things (GPS device, IPass). Also holds my GoPro.

I took a shot at this because it was only $40 and it has been fantastic. I used the supplied "phone" holder to clamp on my radar detector and then the XL RAM Mount phone holder for my phone. There is a ton of space left over for other accessories. It is very solid with just the dash two screws, never had an issue off road.
