On today's episode of the "Performance Limited" saga: STAR team's answer is to change the spark plugs, which, to everyone's amazement, does jack-doodie to resolve the problem. All individuals involved stand around with shocked Pikachu face while the "professionals" responsible for mechanical resolution decide that sticking their thumbs up their poop-chute sound like a much more appealing idea than finding out from the programmers where this message ACTUALLY originates.

Being the test dummy sucks. Sorry.

So 6 months and still no resolution? I had this pop up on my 22 2.0 today briefly when coming to a stop.

I am guessing it will be a LONG time before there is a resolution since this seems to be a nuisance issue and not causing any real performance issues. It is probably just a software bug.

I picked up my 22 XR JLUR 2.0 last week and have seen the message twice, both times were after accelerating then stopping quickly. I have not noticed any actual change in performance after the message pops up for a few seconds. The messages were about 800 miles apart from each other, if it popped up any more times during that period I obviously missed it. Fairly certain it was just those 2 times though. I've used only 91 octane fuel for reference. I read through this entire thread last night and am more curious as to what is causing this more than anything. The vehicle runs fine so I'm not worried about it really. Would like to see it resolved either way though. That being said I looked to see if the parts on the fuel systems have changed any between model year 2020 and model year 2022 and the part I saw that changed is the fuel injection pump. This a total shot in the dark and have no clue if it could even be remotely related to what is causing this annoyance. 2020 had a different part number than the 2021 and 2022 models. Part numbers are below

2020 # - 5281484AA
21 & 22# - 05281484AB

I have literally no clue if these are actually different parts or if the part number just changed slightly between the years. Just throwing the info out there to see if anyone that has gone to the dealer for this has had the fuel injection pump checked out to make sure it operating correctly. Personally I'm leaning towards it probably being something silly with programming since it only seems to be happening on 2022 models and not 2021 models. Just figured I would throw it out there to see what comes of it, if anything.

Hello all, add me to the list. I’ve seen the error twice since I drove off dealer lot in May. I have a 22 JLUR 2.0. I have 600 miles, First time I caught a glimpse and it was not even displayed on long enough for me to remember what the error said. Today , it was on for about 3 seconds while I was decelerating. The weather where I’m at has been averaging 95-100 daily and I’ve been filling up with Sam’s Club 93. I’m averaging really bad MPG’s, 15-16.

So, my JLU...that has a whopping 1044 miles on it has been getting a dash pop-up that says "performance limited service fuel system." The dealer claims they've never seen that...I can't find any info about it online...and I'm starting to think it's a reoccurring fever dream at this point.

Has anyone else had any experience with this?

anyone notice this happens more on ascending inclines? so far it's been pretty consistently happening when braking to a stop on a mild hill vs flat or descending hill.

never happens at highway speeds. always when close to a stop.
