Hello all, I dropped my Jeep off at the dealership yesterday for the installation of the Mopar lift and was told there is an update to the PCM available. Does anyone know what this update is? purpose? any negative to having it updated?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

I just ran my VIN on my '22 and there was nothing of a PCM update. Last update was the Y91 DEF update for 20's and 21's. According to GDE, once they announced that the EcoDiesel was being discontinued, the software team was disbanded. That being said, her '21 sips DEF while my '22 seems to guzzle it. I only get about 1500 miles to a a bottle and I can't remember how many miles ago I had to fill hers. It has to be at least 4000 miles.

Yours is likely guzzling DEF due to your GDE tune. They are minimizing EGR use and that increases NOX production. So, gotta use more DEF to cut the NOX down.

That makes sense. I will check with them. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, mine is a 2023 with approximately 4k miles. Def usage has not been bad, only added once and per the factory dash gauges its about 1/2 full now.

there is a Rear-View Camera update available; could that be what they’re speaking of?

I don't see or know of any rear-view camera changes. When I picked up Jeep I asked again and he just said it was a general update. I have been unable to notice any changes.
