Park Sense connectors different between model years?

My 2018 JLU (Sahara) rear park sensor is a male connector on Jeep side and female connector on bumper side.

I bought an aftermarket bumper from someone with a 2019 JLU Rubicon who swapped his sensors into the bumper, but his Jeep has a female connector on the Jeep side and a male connector on the bumper side. He picked up a 2019 or 2020 Sahara bumper w/ sensors and it matched his setup.

I haven't run into this one on the forums - curious if anyone has come across this one.

I was hoping to avoid pulling the bumper and removing all sensors, but it looks like that's my only option unless there's a male to male adapter out there, but I have no idea what the connector type/style is to search for it.

Any ideas?

Ugh...removed wiring from my stock bumper and it seems that every video on YouTube shows the clips popping out that hold the sensor in place. Mine...plastic welded?

Found a few helpful threads - looks like part 2 is just a difference between plastic and steel bumpers. Part 1 - male connector...still baffling! Going to just drop the bumper and swap 'em out.
