Hi all,
I'm having an issue with my parksense system. Prior to lift/re-cal with the superchips flashcal f5, there were no issues. Shortly after the lift/re-cal it started to act up. The issue I'm experiencing is a "parksense unavailable wipe rear sensors" alert. It's intermittent in the sense that if I turn the motor off and restart, it'll almost always work in reverse a little before the alert comes up. Without fail, after driving above 5-10 mph, the yellow indicator light on the buttons will show up, indicating it is being "off." If I try to reverse, it will not work. If I stop, turn off motor and restart, it'll briefly work again. Sometimes, while backing up, it'll randomly start working again.
I've scoured the forums and here is what I've done:
1. Installed new carrier, with rear tire in higher position. Still problem.
2. Rotated spare so valve stem was in the 12 o'clock position. Still problem.
3. Removed the spare entirely. Still problem.
4. Unclipped/re-clipped rear wiring harness. Still problem.
5. Replaced 2 of the sensors (I had 2 new from something else). Still problem.
6. Swapped the remaining 2 sensors. Still problem.
7. Checked the fuse (#33). Still problem.
8. Reset the superchips flashcal (returned to stock) and took out the bypass. Still problem.
I'm out of ideas. I wish I had the Tazer Mini, but was talked into the superchips unit. The tazer at least allows you to disable the parksense. I don't really care about having the park sense, but it's more of a... if it's there, it would be nice for it to work kinda thing. And even when I opt to disable it, I don't like the chime every time I start it up to let me know I have it disabled...
Thoughts?
