Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my parksense system. Prior to lift/re-cal with the superchips flashcal f5, there were no issues. Shortly after the lift/re-cal it started to act up. The issue I'm experiencing is a "parksense unavailable wipe rear sensors" alert. It's intermittent in the sense that if I turn the motor off and restart, it'll almost always work in reverse a little before the alert comes up. Without fail, after driving above 5-10 mph, the yellow indicator light on the buttons will show up, indicating it is being "off." If I try to reverse, it will not work. If I stop, turn off motor and restart, it'll briefly work again. Sometimes, while backing up, it'll randomly start working again.

I've scoured the forums and here is what I've done:

1. Installed new carrier, with rear tire in higher position. Still problem.
2. Rotated spare so valve stem was in the 12 o'clock position. Still problem.
3. Removed the spare entirely. Still problem.
4. Unclipped/re-clipped rear wiring harness. Still problem.
5. Replaced 2 of the sensors (I had 2 new from something else). Still problem.
6. Swapped the remaining 2 sensors. Still problem.
7. Checked the fuse (#33). Still problem.
8. Reset the superchips flashcal (returned to stock) and took out the bypass. Still problem.

I'm out of ideas. I wish I had the Tazer Mini, but was talked into the superchips unit. The tazer at least allows you to disable the parksense. I don't really care about having the park sense, but it's more of a... if it's there, it would be nice for it to work kinda thing. And even when I opt to disable it, I don't like the chime every time I start it up to let me know I have it disabled...

Thoughts?

I'm having the same issue. Did you find a solution?

Are you using a superchips flashcal? I had used it to disable the auto start/stop engine feature. After enabling it again, it resolved the issue. A few forum members reported the same.

I appreciate your response. Yes, I’m using a flashcal, but did not touch that setting. I actually have a smartstopstart that I had been using before with no issues. I still have it installed but removed the flashcal module.

I had the same issue after using the Tazer Mini. Couple of times I tried to write to the Tazer support email, but generally was told to follow the directions, which I was doing. Finally gave up, unmarried everything - issue remained. Went to Flashcal thinking it may remove the problem. No joy.

I started having an issue with park sense unavailable wipe sensors only after a dive tire rotate.
i have aftermarket wheels and 35’s
Had zero issues after wheel and tires were out on, and 2.5” lift.
for 4,000 miles zero issues with aftermarket wheel and 35 spare on back.
had 5 tire rotate done and started having phantom alert on driver side rear like something was there. But there was nothing.
Read about moving the valve stem to different location (6,9,12,3 o’clock etc). 3 o’clock was the only position that made the phantom alert go away.
No with that fixed, I get the park sense unavailable and to wipe sensors alert. Completely intermittent. Sometimes it pops up immediately and other times after 5-10 seconds in reverse. Sometimes after 15 seconds in reverse it goes away and works normal. Sensors have been wiped, cleaned (with water, with water/alcohol solution) have been left dirty and under normal driving conditions

anything else to try before going to dealer to waste time?
