Parasitic draw

Does anyone know if PN - 52854755AB interlocks with gear position selector? If not I do not understand how it could affect power drain.

I recently did a parasitic draw test on my JL. I made up my own jumpers with overkill gauge (10?) wire and medium sized clamps. Around the time I was about to do it, I saw Lisle tools has a little jumper/switch (fused) rig to plug directly into a meter. I bought one, but haven't used it. It looks like it'll make the process of testing more convenient.
