My JL is a Little over a month old and I am starting to see an issue on my hood. I noticed a cloudy spot and thought maybe it was a hand print but I saw it again after washing. See first picture. I hadn’t had time until today to really look at it and it is under the clear coat and it’s spreading across my hood. I have only ever hand washed it I don’t know what the heck is happening.

If it's under the clear coat, I would go ahead and take it to the dealer and have it fixed under warranty. It will only get worse. It must be some kind of contamination in the paint process.

If it's just on the hood---get a BLACK HOOD DECAL and that will cure your sun damage/reflection and looks COOL

Ebay-$25 to $50 bucks--easy to install and cures all the problems !

Rather than covering it up, I would rather get it properly fixed under warranty. Take a good look throughout the rest of the body at the paint job after taking off the room so you can see all the body / roll bars too

I have never seen anything like it on any car I have ever owned. I am going to be taking it to the dealership tomorrow. Going to clean it up today and go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Take it to the dealership so the problem can be addressed accordingly. Make sure they inspect the entire vehicle as it could become a problem on other surfaces.
