@JeepCares

I was driving to pickup some groceries, while at a stop light vehicle starts a rough idle. Few seconds later Stop/Start unavailable, MIL pops on. Solid yellow engine light.
Park it, check for leaks - hissing, etc etc. Seems okay. (Only 8,000 miles on her). Manage to get it home but in protection mode, low power, sputtering.

Setup for a tow through jeeptow Stellantis Thu Afternoon, confirmed good pickup 8am to 8:30am Fri. Get jeep ready for pickup that evening. "Miyumbi Towing"
Fri morning no response from tow driver at 8:30.am Contact Stellantis, they didnt have an update. 9:30 am comes by they drop me and "reschedule".

I ended up driving it to the dealer at this point, seemed to be running "ok" and by "ok" its still not 100% but its definitely driveable but missed my appt due to the tow cancellation. Stellantis books me a retow about 4 hours later - I cancelled it because i was already at the dealer.

No loaners available at the dealer, Shuttle home. Shuttle doesnt run the weekend, guess its uber eats. Figure it would be a quick fix.
Saturday Update - they don't know whats wrong with it. Flashed some updates, checked fuel and ignition systems and clear code. Same thing that happened to me, drives "ok" then MIL Pops on, terrible performance in low power mode. Foreman going to do more trouble shooting Monday. Had to take PTO, can't commute to work. Don't really have the cash to be buying loaner cars (I mean, i spent $60,000 on a JLUR that comes with loaner cars and towing....)

Anyone have any ideas on P0171 and P2092 for new wranglers? I've done some looking but it seems like there could be a wide variety of issues.
A Little frustrated. Thanks for hearing me out.

Pic for attention.

Thank you Kate,
Jeep wave reached out to me and assigned me a case manager and explained my coverage for rentals! Hopefully Daisy Duke gets back on the road soon! :)

They have to replace the o2 sensor and also repair the oil leak.

New Update

They moved it from the diagnostic level techs (they couldnt figure it out) to I guess the mechanical techs. He spouted off 1000 different things he thinks it could be but all i remember is him saying something about internals, camshafts and heads.

Probably going to be down another week or two from the sound of it, depending on when they finish diagnosing it.

I think they are going to get my in a better loaner than my current rental, hopefully i can still make my weekend trip if the loaner is a capable wrangler(Was supposed to be going to windrock TN with a big party of jeepers on the 10th) but probably not anymore.

Turn on depression mode. Lol.

Does your Jeep sound like a diesel powered typewriter?

No she purrs but There is a rhytmic tic sound up near the manifold (I hear it on EVERY jeep 3.6)

They ended up replacing both 02 sensors, doing tons of diagnostics - fuel tests ok, vacuum OK (Smoke test and brake booster line test), fuel pressure OK, injectors all confirmed clean, coil packs good, spark plugs clean/good. No leaks inside or out. They put 100 miles on it between yesterday and today with no issues at all. Heading to pick it up today. They didnt note any fouling or leaks internally or externally on the sensors. We will see - will keep updated.

Following closely as my 2020 Rubicon with 18,000 miles just had an exact same experience. No prior issues, out for St Patrick’s Day pint and boom! Rough idle, CIL and start/stop illuminated.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that: its a bad feeling. In my case it was the 02 sensors on passenger side. They are so sensitive.

if you have OBD 2 scanner, check ur fuel trims when idling. If you have any that are off by more than 10%ish Then raise rpm to about 2500; see if the fuel trims 0 out. If they do, its likely vacuum. If not sensor or fuel delivery.
From what i learned talking to tech.
(Assuming p0171 code)

I got mine back from the dealership yesterday. (Saturday)
They performed a relearn on the TCM.
Not sure how that's related to cylinder misfires, but the codes are gone.
50 miles so far, no CEL. I'm just waiting for it to pop back on.
When I picked it up I was @ 10.9 mpg.
She still running good!?

I took mine in for the misfire recall last fall. I didn’t have any codes not even sure what they did. When I got the Jeep back I noticed that the idle was the same but when I was stopped in traffic all I had to do was ease my foot off the brake pedal and the Jeep would start to roll away where as before I would actually have to push the accelerator. I have driven over 10,000 miles since no issues but did notice gas mileage fell off some.

I wish there was an update. Dealership has had the vehicle for a week and claims they are short staffed and have t even run diagnostic. Absolutely maddening.
