I successfully installed a PA System in my Jeep and am really pleased with how it turned out. I saw how most people mounted their CB/PA amplifiers down low, but was never really a fan of that set up. Instead I picked up a JcrOffroad Overhead Molle Panel and mounted it to that using a couple of black metal plates I picked up at the hardware store:
Some might say that it is a little cluttered with respect to accessing the Freedom Panel latches, but I like being able to reach up to access it rather than down. The latches open without any issue, the microphone cable rests on a hook and does not obstruct the rear view mirror while driving, and, yes, that is an Alien Sun Shade running over the top of the overhead molle panel.
I nylon sheathed and ran the wires along the upper and driver's side panels, down through the driver's side firewall plug w/ a rubber grommet, and along the wiring channel at the rear of the engine bay. The PA speaker is mounted in front of the radiator (I replaced the bolts that came with the speaker with some that had flatter heads to just barely fit in the narrow space between the radiator and grille).
