Outside heat in floor board

I noticed if you open glove compartment when it happens it feels like a flap is opening to outside , dealer said it isn’t normal. Will take in ASAP

Mine also has been doing this. It started doing it on the drive home after purchase (6-16-18). It gets warm and kind of musty or humid and then goes away after a few seconds. I thought it was just me............

I swear I noticed this the other day! I knew I wasn't crazy.

It felt like the heater was turned on from the floor board of the passenger side.

Should I take it in?

@JeepCares I'll have to hold off on taking this to a dealer for now. Mine does this randomly and not super consistently, so it would be hard to recreate it to show a dealer what it's doing. They'd have to take it and drive it for a little while... and I'm still in early break in miles, so I won't be doing that for the time being.

If anyone is able to replicate this for their dealer and has a clear answer as to what is going on, please post it! I am curious if this is to be expected or if it's abnormal. I'll see if I can find a way to easily replicate it in the meantime.

Definitely understand, mortuar. Keep me updated. If you do end up going, please let me know.

I just went on a trip from Tampa FL to Va Beach VA and I experienced the same thing. The ac did not stop blowing cold air, However, the warm air came from under the dash and floor board. Not continuously it seem just now and then. My wife kept asking where the hot air was coming from. I had no good answer. I have not taken it to dealer yet for the Cruse control recall. when I do I will ask them about it also.

You people are not crazy. This is a real phenomena, strange but real. Some members have taken to dealer. Supposedly there is some sort of A/C software update but uncertain if it addresses this issue specifically.
