Outside heat in floor board

Has anyone noticed warm air rising from floor ? We have notice A.c. continues to blow cold but occasionally warm air comes into floor board. Smells like it’s from engine. Then after a minute or so goes away. And floor is cold again.

I made a 5 hour trip the day I picked mine up and did notice some kind of warm wave from time to time. My wife even asked once if I turned off the A/C. Kind of happened in waves and went away. Curious. As a new jeep owner I just chalked it up to heat from the road (highways in south Texas, in the sun and all).

We live near Houston notified it once or twice. Drove to Nashville yesterday. Happened a lot. Ordered cold weather package before they removed block heater from package. Dealer adding it back for free. Will have them look at it when it goes in for that install. Added power running boards yesterday.

I've experienced this aslo but mainly on the passenger side. My wife noticed it on a road trip a couple of weeks ago.

This happened to me the day I picked it up, but it hasn't happened since.

I thought the block heater that it came with only functioned in freezing temperatures? Am I missing something?

I noticed if you open glove compartment when it happens it feels like a flap is opening to outside , dealer said it isn’t normal. Will take in ASAP

I swear I noticed this the other day! I knew I wasn't crazy.

It felt like the heater was turned on from the floor board of the passenger side.

Should I take it in?

I actually haven’t felt anything odd myself. Wondering... what vehicles are y’all coming from? Most have insulation under the carpet, since it’s removable, the wrangler does not. Could this just be a natural cycle of the emissions system or something and you’re just feeling it more because there’s no padding under the carpet?

A/C? What is this curious contraption? Dunno, never turned it on, Top is either always down or windows down. Theres a reason I got just a Prem softy
