I just posted this in the other thread but my Sahara order came in over the weekend and I am going this Saturday to pick it up. I called the dealership yesterday and they confirmed Mitch is gone and a sales rep (can't remember his name but it wasn't Jacob Black) said they would honor the price Mitch quoted me. Once I pick up on Saturday (assuming all goes well and I do pick it up), I'll post how things went. Honestly I am worried since Mitch isn't there.
I would think they would honor it especially if you have in writing. Good luck and let us know how it goes! This could make or break future deals with Ourisman. It looks like Koons is still doing great deals for anyone who hasn't secured one with Mitch. I believe both dealerships are kind of close to each other like an hour away. So that could help someone looking in that area.

FYI, Koons can't sell to certain states. Don't recall the reason, but MA is one of them.

Not that I'm in the market anymore but I wonder if SC is one of them.

I spoke to a sales rep at Ourisman this morning. He said they haven't figured out who will take over Mitch's online orders yet, but that they would honor the pricing he gave with email proof of said pricing. FYI.

That's nice to hear. I'm not looking forward to the potential issues with them dealing with my out of state plates and registration (MA), but at least feel better about the price being what Mitch said it would be. I purchased a car from a dealer in PA a few years back and it was a bit of a process, but with the discount from Ourisman, I'm willing to go through some hassle, just hopefully not a LOT of hassle.

Awesome! And actual test case!

Good luck on Saturday and PLEASE report back on your dealership experience if you have a chance, thank you!
He’s getting further along than I am with mine, I’m done with the back and forth emails and not getting much in return, I get you lost Mitch but you should have a few people handling these forum deals if you are a high volume dealer

Hopefully you have better luck than what I’m going thru with email follow ups

Mine was a bit of a hassle because of living in SC. I was under the impression that the dealer was going to handle everything, tax, tags, title, etc. What I didn't realize was they did not handle property tax as required by SC in order to get registration completed. I've bought many cars in SC and never had this be an issue, probably because the dealer is in SC. However, buying out of state learned the hard way I had to pay this seperately, when the title clerk from Ourisman reached out to me in January to say they can't get the tags or registration done until that's paid. So, I rushed over to the tax office, paid the property tax and sent it over to Ourisman. Now I'm just waiting on the SC tags to come in. Because that process is taking a while, my temporary registration/tags are about to expire. Fortunately, Ourisman sent me an extension tag until the SC ones come in.

I hear ya. Sorry to learn it’s going that way for you. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how the next few deals are handled. Sounds like the post sale titling and DMV process is a mess for out of state buyers.

I haven’t even gotten to that point, I just need to know what the bank will be and the payments to know it before signing things

I'm in MA too and have no idea how they're going to handle the plates and registration. As you know MA doesn't do temp tags.

About 10 years ago I had a company car that had Ohio temp tags on it when it arrived. The first time I drove it in MA I was pulled over and the officer was furious that a MA resident with a MA license was driving a car with out of state temp tags. He stopped me just because of the tags and told me to park it when I got home and to not drive it until it had real plates. Time to investigate if it’s possible for me to get the reg and plates taken care of prior to picking up the Jeep.

Picked up my Wrangler order yesterday from Ourisman....it went great! No issues at all. I spoke to the sales manager and he said that he plans to post on the forum in the near future concerning below invoice discounts. He said that they are going to re-evaluate and then make a decision. So changes may be coming.

If you currently have an order with them, I wouldn't worry at all. There should be no problem with them honoring the discounts you agreed to with Mitch. If you plan to place an order with the expectation of a below dealer discount, I recommend you call and speak to the sales manager first. But my guess is that they are going to make some changes.

Hope this helps those who currently have an order in with them and if you were thinking about it.

I picked up a Wrangler from Mitch at the end of November. I just received my registration yesterday. Very frustrating process to say the least. Titling person refuses to answer or return calls. Mitch did his best to keep me informed but it was out of his hands. Seems to me that Ourisman Clarksville is a mid sized dealer trying to run with the high volume boys but doesn’t have the personnel to do it. Glad I am done with the process.
