You're right it has been a while since I updated. It still isn't finished but I got the Jeep back a couple of weeks ago but they hadn't done the chop or inner fenders yet. It would rub hitting any bumps at all. I was waiting for parts. Finally gave up on the original parts ordered and went with Genright Inners and Morimoto chop kit.

Those got finished yesterday and I took the Jeep out today to get a pic. Here is one before the chop that I took last week and after the chop and Inners today. I haven't flexed it out yet but they ran it up their ramp and said it cleared everywhere but we all know the real world can be different than a ramp.

I still have the spare tire carrier on order and it's supposed to come in this week so hopefully I can get that sorted out before Christmas. I ordered it on Oct 20 and still haven't got it. Come on companies...if you don't have it in stock don't sell it like you do.

How do you like the apex through shaft? Did you drill your steering box? Are you using their high kit?
I love it! Zero steering wheel play at all now. I haven't had it off road yet to know how well it would turn in the muck but on the road it's smooth. I had it professionally installed and yes, they did have to drill the steering box. The website is misleading concerning their high mount. It is for custom aftermarket axles and setups. It just comes with the pieces and you then weld them to the axle so it's very costly to do custom work like that so I just went with the normal mount. I guess time will tell if it gets hit.

My only caveat would be it seems like the steering wheel turns "slower". It still turns fine but you can tell you are moving the ram. It's not bad at all but something I have had to get used to. It is definitely one of the best mods I have had installed. I would definitely recommend it.

I have the steel knuckles. At least I was told they come on all 2024 392's. I haven't replaced the ball joints yet but it's on my list. As well as Teraflex drag link and tie rod. Unless they break these will have to wait until I refill the Jeep Fund Allowance from my wife.
I wouldn't wait for your ball joints to break. If you wait that long, you're going to have a whole lot more to replace than just your ball joints!! 😥

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I told my coworkers the other day when we were talking about spending money on our hobbies I should have gotten addicted to drugs instead because it would have been cheaper.
I always say, I drive a Jeep because I can't afford an F-22 Raptor nor can I afford the maintenance of said F-22 Raptor. Heck I can't even afford a P51 Mustang and its maintenance.

Life of a poor Jeeper.

Looking good!

I'd love to do the Apex kit even on my 35s.

I finally got the spare tire and compressor mounted. The compressor mounts inside the spare tire. I also had them install a Torrix Air Up System (Link) that puts an air coupler at all four corners so I just have four short hoses that go from the couplers to the valve stems. There are rubber covers for the couplers that are still on order. It is the brush-less ARB Twin. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The spare tire is just on the tailgate right now but they are making a Torrix Hitch Spare Tire Support (LINK). They had to custom make it because it's a little taller to be able to use the stock bumper. This will hold up all the weight of the tire and has a skid plate on it to protect the spare when dropping off ledges.

I think it turned out well. The only thing left to do on it are the Chromoly front axle shafts which are still being made. They will probably be in next week, at least I'm hoping.
