Okay I gotta gripe

I've got a manual transmission and a key that does NOT open the doors with a button, yet to start it I have to push a button. To me, this feels like they're taking control OUT of my hands. I don't want to go kite surfing and have to deal with the bullshit hassle of this stubby fat black dick. Has anyone swapped out the button for a good ole fashion key-start ignition? Last thing I want to deal with is 5 years from now when the gov't hates me they turn off my car without me being able to do anything about it. Crazy right? Yeah, we'll see.

I use Amsoil in my ignition. The lower calcium levels combined with the lower friction at start up make it imperceptible to government lasers tracking the car.

Even my renegade has a key that I insert and turn to start it but my "tough" Wrangler is like a prissy European import with push to start...It is a little stupid.

Putting aside the MAGA tinfoil hat fear-mongering, it’d be very difficult to swap to a turn-key ignition. It’d be cheaper to sell your JL and buy a JK.

People thought they were loosing control when we went from a starter button to a key ignition in the ‘50’s. They survived.
