Did not come with a nipple just a 1/4 pipe thread hole with a plug.

That is insane and not normal. Then again, I'm not surprised with how the 3.6l build quality has been these last few years. Pacificas & WLs are blowing hadgaskets right at 50-60k miles like clockwork. Fortunately haven't seen many wranglers with that issue

We are only normally seeing head gasket failures on PUG 3.6's after they have been ran low on coolant or overheated. WK2 water pumps are constantly leaking as they seem to only last a few months before they start to leak and owners unknowingly keep driving them.

Pentastar engines are made in 3 factories. Dundee, MI, Trenton MI, and Saltillo Mex.

Installed a J&L catch can on a 23 JLUR 3.6 with 20k ish miles on it. Emptied catch can 1st time at 300 miles - just a little bit of oil. Emptied 2nd time at 700 miles - a little bit more oil than 1st time but still not much. Going to empty next time at 1k miles. I have noticed a very slight increase in mpg of around .3 mpg per gas tank with the same daily driving.
Its easy enough to reverse and go back to oem if needed.

Stock 2019 JLU 3.6 AT with 52,000mi
Had some oil drops in the intake the first 30k mi…no puddles though. Have been monitoring it every 5k mi since then. No more drops or oil mist. Mainly long road trips 2,000miles and light dirt road usage.
MPG between 25-29.
not sure if I need a can.
