Reminds me of the time I was Costco, and the guy with the Compass says to me, hey we're twins, I was kinda puzzled, then he said he got the non convertible Jeep instead, because his wife doesn't like convertibles or something like that.

I'd blame misinformation. This is how one random Jeep dealer website explains how Jeep owners can get into the duck craze...not Wrangler, but Jeep owners 🙃

There is a Tacoma running around where I live that has a bunch of ducks in the windshield. I'm glad the trend of leaving them on Jeeps seems to be on the way out, I haven't had one put on mine around home for a long time, and when we were at Jeep Jam in Panama City we only got 3 or 4, where years ago we'd have gotten a dozen. That's a lot of crap to shove into the center console

I saw a pair of Mini Coopers rolling through my town the other day with dashes full of ducks...

The whole duck thing was around long before it became a Wrangler craze during COVID.

Mostly the kids stick them on their side mirrors, they were the same ducks with the propellers for the bicycles.

I’ve seen just as many Bronco’s riding around Amarillo with ducks on the dash as Jeeps. I’m not sure why

Looks like it gets as much off road time as every other Jeep rolling around with a dash full of ducks.

Less contrasting color door hinge covers and RGBs, which I consider an improvement.

This definitely backs up my theory many jeepers buy their own ducks. I've seen way too many stock Jeeps or angry eyed Jeeps with 100 ducks on the dash.
I've now seen just enough Jeeps (as in, Wranglers) with ducks spanning the entire width of the dashboard to be inclined to agree here. I think some folks may indeed be self-funding their collections.
