Was doing oil change and tire rotation on jeep today and when I got to swapping the front driver tire I gave the hub a good ol spin and was greeted was a not so happy sounding noise(the clunking). Last time I wheeled I didn’t have any issues, that was about 8k miles ago doing cedar tree and firebreak in OR. Is it a “normal” sound or did and issue just take time to present itself?
And no it’s not the plastic piece in the vid I’ve held that down and still the noise.

That's just differentiation. That noise is the side gears and pinion mates in the differential going thru mesh.
