I’m looking for a set of wheel chocks for some 40” tires. This rules all all tiny little options only a couple inches tall.

You guys have any suggestions for a good wheel chock, preferably collapsible, light weight and good for off road / on dirt / etc.

Any suggestions appreciated!!

I just use rocks, but rocks are plentiful here in the Rockies
Considered that but I would like to find a compact easily carried solution if one exists

Those are pretty sweet. I really like how they nest inside each other for compact storage.

These are exactly what I want but the company seems to be out of business. Phone # goes to a disconnected Verizon wireless phone and website doesn’t work.

A shame because these look super sweet.

Alternatively I was considering these but I’m not sure how well they would hold off road on/in dirt, rocks, sand, etc. They seem like they would be useless on soft packed dirt, sand, mud, shale, loose rock, gravel, basically every off-road surface except hard packed dry dirt. Definitely a concern for real world use and abuse off-roading.

The ones the other poster put up may be better on sketchy surfaces but the best down to a super small size which is sweet and the chains seem like they might help with holding power... but I am concerned about these being too short to be really effective with 40’s especially if on a hill (accent or decent)

But then again the actual chock has no “bite” on the bottom. What’s to stop both chained together metal chocks from sliding together?

With 40" tires, Maybe you should back it against somebody's Smart Car. That should fit just right.
Agreed now if only someone with a smart car would be halfway down a savage rockcrawling trail I’d bet all set!

Look into an x block style wheel chock. BAL is a popular mfg. Used heavily in the RV industry.

Are you talking about the plastic ones or metal scissor style that 18 wheelers use between two wheels?

I ended up ordering these and I’m hoping I can fit one in the bottom of each XG Gamma side bag

Metal scissor ones. You will never use another type after trying them. Worth every penny.

Holy cow, what is wrong with me. I'm so tired and lost, duh. Won't work on single wheel situation.
