Why dont we forecast a few weekends down the road to do some offroading? Summer is coming and the desert heat will too, then maybe transition to Sierra Mtns trails at cooler climates. I'm up for camping, fishing, droning, and hiking. Keep from venturing out alone.

I’m definitely a beginner to off-roading! I’m thinking about driving just some fire roads or dirt roads for starters? I’m in SoCal too. If y’all have any meetings set up I’d like to link up and check out some fellow Trail Blazers!

Some coworkers and I are planning a 2 night camping/jeeping trip meeting Friday morning in Lancaster. You are welcome to come.
Our primary is location is Monache Meadow but am hearing its still closed, will verify. Back up is the Piute Mtn area of the Seqioua NF near the Claraville area. PM me if interested and wil pass along details.
Planning some easy trail fun, fishing(if available), droning, hiking, and tossing a few brews back after the end of the day.

Try Cleghorn. Off the I-15 right before the 138. You can do the entire thing in either 2 wheel drive, or adventure off on the offshoots in 4 low. Last time I went I ran in to 4 other JL Rubicons on the trail. Here is a video of when I went last.

Took it up over Cleghorn Rd yesterday. The family loved it. But at first we ended up taking the beginner road from Cleghorn to the 138. The drove over to Silverwood and took the more advanced road back over to the Cleghorn trail. It is definately for more experienced drivers. We came across a couple spots that tested not only my abilities, but the suspension to its limits. I maxed out the suspension a few times. Only keeping 2 or 3 wheels on the ground at a time.
So if your not very experienced, I caution against this trail if your not with someone else. You will get stuck.
Some seriously difficult spots at Cleghorn! Be careful beginners. Some Jeeps have tipped there.

There's also Hungry Valley in Gorman. Lots of trails, ranging from very easy to more difficult, with a great map available online showing the difficulty of each so you can plan your route ahead. I think a lot of the more "hardcore" folk hate on it because it's supposedly all overrun, washed out, and easy. I rather enjoyed it.
Agreed! I did too. Great for beginners. I like the schooling area to practice.

Thanks for all the input! Went up to San Gabriel OHV a few weekends ago and have planned a trip out to Joshua tree in a few weeks
