I'm wondering if anyone has swapped out the OEM metal bumper that has the OEM Warn winch for a aftermarket one. If you have, how hard did the winch make it? Was it easy to get around the wires? I have a bumper laying around I want to install but the wiring seems pretty tight in there.

Thanks for looking!

It should all be the same. I have a Warn VR 10S on a Maximus 3 plate behind the factory steel bumper. IIRC OEM is an 8S. Should work like any other setup.

Thanks for the reply! I figured it was but wanted to make sure before I tore into it.

any chance you could get some photos of the winch plate mounted if you pull the bumper? I have an OEM winch plate from a jeep that had the winch package and have been deciding if I should use it or just a maximus 3 or Warn plate.

Sure, I'll post up if I decide to change the bumper out.

None... but it pays well.

The OEM Jeep plate is a trimmed down WARN plate. The Jeep plate has no licence plate mounting. The WARN plate has license plate mounting built in to the fairlead plate.

Both a built a little bit better than the Maximus 3. Though you may never have an issue using it.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize it was a trimmed down version. I'll have to take a closer look at it later on.
