OBDII connections

Just hooked up JScan to Jeep. What an issue to get the two plugs back in. That metal cross bar in my 2019 Wrangler makes it impossible to see the plug locations to get them back in. Getting them out not so bad, can do by touch as you just need to squeeze the plugs out. Consider myself somewhat handy but this one wasn't fun. Is there a better way? Looks like the plastic dashboard piece to the left could come out but I don't know if that's an issue or if necessary.

Anyone else have similar issues? Just updated my TPMS threshold and tire size, thank God I have no further plans to make any updates!

It is definitely a knuckle buster to disconnect the obd2 port from its original location, but you only have to do this once. I left the adapter cable connected for ease of reach to connect the bluetooth device when needed.

I simply and neetly tuck the cable behind the side panel which has enough empty space to make it happen.

That makes sense Steph. So the adapter (SGW?) gets plugged in and you tuck all in?

Yup, I get it now. SGW is a female connection, the two go into that and then you tuck in. Light bulb went off that when the original are plugged in they're just seated in there, not doing anything. Thank you again...

And forget using that clunky, dinosaur Chrysler cable. Buy an ECRl security gateway bypass module

Fingers crossed after I do a small lift I'm a one and done. Second go around on the Wrangler, last one was a 14 with full suspension lift and everything that went along with it. I turned 50 this year and I think I got a little simpler!
