21 JULR 4xe and Ive seen this s few times. Typically I restart the phone and reconnect cable, fixes it. Last week that didn't fix it and every 2-3 days I get the message. BLuetooth still works but android auto can be iffy. In fact last Sunday I was on an easy trail and periodically my OnX image would turn white. No topical map. Click anything else and back to android auto and it was there for 30-90 seconds.

Seems like a uConnect pandemic

Yes! I’m having the same exact issue with my radio as well in a 23 Sahara. I’ve pulled fuses, disconnected battery, used a different cord, nothing works, I have an appointment set up for next week so we shall see what will happen.
@JeepCares never got back to me with my last question. What has fixed it for me so far is using an actual Apple cord. I think UConnect and the drivers are VERY over sensitive with any cord other than genuine Apple. The third-party cords work fine when connecting my phone to my computer, or other cars, but with Uconnect, it just stops liking some cords altogether. Both my Jeep Wranglers stopped working within days of each other using two separate third party cords. Again, these cords work fine for charging outside of the Jeep. So I put genuine Apple cords in both Jeeps, and they've both worked fine since. It sucks because the third party cords come with 90 degree angles to fit better, and Apple doesn't have that. In the end, I just want it to work. Chrysler/Jeep needs to update the system to be more flexible.

Summer, what ever came of your visit to the dealership? The same exact thing is happening to my ‘23 and I feel like I am going to be forced to take it in. Is there any tip that you can give me to fix it?

I have been having the same issue on my '20 JLR except with mine about half the time it says 'Device not supported' the radio shuts down, screen goes black and will then reboot...then repeats same. Most often after leaving Jeep parked for a while and restarting all is okay...for a while. I am going to update the firmware (several versions behind) and hopefully that will fix it. This is about the only thing I need to address before I sell her...I just cannot in good conscience sell her to someone knowing there is a problem...and to me, not having a reliable music source is a big problem!

So, I have been having this issue intermittently over the past 4 years. Recently, it got really bad. If I plugged it in, constant messages about the device not being supported, charge, disconnect, etc. I tried different cables, tried waiting a while after start up to plug it in, cleared cache and stored data in the app, force stopped the app, rebooted my phone, removed Bluetooth pairing between my Jeep and my phone, tried everything.

I was about ready to take it to the dealership and tried one last thing. You can't uninstall Android Auto from your phone, but you can uninstall all updates, which I did. I then updated the app again and plugged it into my Jeep and was prompted for the new Android Auto start up. I went through that and made sure Projection was enabled and it hasn't given me any problems since, for the two days since I did it. I hope this works for others as well.

I am having the exact same problem as all the other Jeep owners in this forum. Shame on @JeepCares for using their standard playbook responses.. All you have to do is google “Uconnect Device Not Supported” to see countless issues about this and many responses from the @JeepCares team. Yes, it could be as simple as a bad charging cord. However, in most cases it seems to be far more going on here. @JeepCares notes in other threads their engineers are aware of this problem as early as 2022, but has not said what is the root cause. Resetting you phone, resetting Uconnect, disconnecting the battery, turning off the jeep for several hours and replacing charging cables is not fixing the problem for the majority of people. Jeep owners have reported going to the dealer and they are replacing the head unit. performing Software/Firmware Updates, and looking for shorts in USB ports. It does appear to be hardware & software related in many cases.

My android had problems and I found it only works with actual cords from Samsung. Not sure why as my replacement cord works with my wifes Chevy. Make sure you are using official apple cords.
Yeah, USB cables can be VERY pick.

Started Jeep this afternoon and received message displayed on radio screen"Device Not Supported". I hit "OK" the message disappears. About 10 seconds later the message reappears. I hit the "X" in the upper right corner of the screen. Message disappears then about 10 seconds later it reappears. I can't seem to get rid of it. Despite the message my phone is paired to the system. I've tried rebooting the phone, un-pairing\re-pairing it, shutting Jeep off\restarting, checked u connect site with my VIN (its up to date). So far nothing seems to get rid of this message which overlays all of my different screens i.e nav, radio etc. Any help will be very much appreciated.
Is this on the USB hub under the screen? Or the one in the center console. If the latter, this is an extremely common problem and you can join us over here for the solutions we’ve tried. @JeepCares really needs to bring this up the chain of command..

Yup, pretty fed up with this BS 'Device Not Supported' on my '20 JLR! Message pops up and the radio cycles off and on again and again....There are NO USB cables connected, period. This has been getting worse of late, first started about 18 months ago and sometimes it would go for months between shutdowns and now is at least once every other week, sometimes you park it for an hour or so and all is good...for a while. Going to try having the dealer do a full firmware update (I swapped out the standard radio for an OEM 8.4 from same year Rubi shortly after taking delivery four and a half years ago) and if that does not fix, I guess I have to replace the damn radio again before selling...When it shuts off, no phone, no navigation, no nothing and I won't sell it to someone knowing this will happen sooner or later!

Mines been doing it nonstop ever since it started a week ago. Never had the issue at all until last week. I have a bunch of stuff plugged in though so I'm sure I'll be told that's the issue. Again all worked fine until last week. Pretty frustrating for sure!
