  1. Notification On Radio Screen: "Device Not Supported"

@JeepCares never got back to me with my last question. What has fixed it for me so far is using an actual Apple cord. I think UConnect and the drivers are VERY over sensitive with any cord other than genuine Apple. The third-party cords work fine when connecting my phone to my computer, or...
  2. Notification On Radio Screen: "Device Not Supported"

Hi Blair, Thanks for responding. Where can I find the Uconnect version number? Thanks, John
  3. Notification On Radio Screen: "Device Not Supported"

Just had this start happening with both my JLU rubicons with the 8.4 Uconnect. Last week my wife’s jeep started getting this message. It would fix itself off and on. Sometimes it would work for days before the message came back, sometimes it would appear the next time. In addition to the...
  4. Service axle locker light still coming on randomly even after z automotive bypass

Thanks for the reply. Good idea! So did you use the bypass cables still, or just clean the connectors and re-attach the factory cables? John
  5. Service axle locker light still coming on randomly even after z automotive bypass

My buddy is having the exact same issues. After he installed the bypass cables last week, the service locker message went away, but still comes back randomly. Have you opened a support ticket with Zautomotive? Thanks, John
  6. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

Yellow is the backlight. You can tap into the DRL, or the parking light depending on when you want them on.... either fulltime, or just when the parking/headlights are on. I would go with parking lights since the backlights can hardly be seen during the day. Whatever works for you.
  7. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

I don't think that will work. Each backlight needs to split independently into each running light. I don't think the fuses are independent for each side. I could be wrong about that.
  8. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

What he means by backlights are that the LP 4,6,9s have a backlight feature that you can hook up to your parking light or running lights so that they glow low powered when you have your headlights or parking lights on. It’s the yellow wire that comes out of each light and can be tapped into the...
  9. Baja Designs Awesome LP Series Support Thread

Yes, both pos and neg go to the battery terminals in my version. No, didn't remove the entire terminal. Just did one at at time by attaching to one of the nuts. Also, I cut the harness down so it would fit neatly. There's way too much wiring with the upfitter. John
  10. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

No problem, just don't touch both posts at the same time. Do one at a time. Nice picture by the way. With 4 LP6s, you can light up a small town.
  11. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

Yes, all the ones we've installed go to the battery. That's the way it was designed. The only tap I made was to use the LP6's as an additional turn signal, so I tapped the turn signal wires with the backlight wire of the LP6. Worked great.
  12. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

Just an update. I finally got my Jeep to the dealership. They will be replacing the axle. It's on order and should be here in a few weeks. Seems so inefficient to replace axels rather than fix the actual parts that are malfunctioning. The only thing that makes sense is that they don't have...
  13. Locker Position Sensor Potting - DANA 44

Hello, I've read almost all 32 pages of this thread. I have the problem with the blinking rear locker light even though the lockers work. Is it worth trying to clean out and pot my sensor now that the symptoms are showing, or is it too late and I need to decide on either the Tazer cable, or...
  14. Locker light flickering

Sorry to reply to an old post. What ended up being the problem? I have the same issue currently. Thanks
  15. Misssing Trim Screws

Good news. Strange it was never listed in the JL parts. As I mentioned, the one I found for the visor worked in the roll bar, but I would much rather have the exact one. Thanks, Johnny
  16. Misssing Trim Screws

This what they look like. A little shorter, but still fit fine on my roll bars, especially when expanded.
  17. Misssing Trim Screws

Part Number Part Name Price Quantity Total 6512385AA Snap In Nut/Spring $0.62 10 $6.20 This is what I ordered from Mopar Wholesale and it worked great in my roll bars and fixed the problem where my other one got ripped out. Let me know if you have any questions...
  18. Misssing Trim Screws

I finally found them and purchased a few. The nuts were pretty cheap, but they charged a fortune for the screw. Let me know if you want the info. John
  19. Baja Designs are Not JL Rubicon Install Friendly with their Harness

Thanks for the info. I have a good set of butt connectors with heat shrink, etc. Doesn't sound too hard. Can't wait to try it out. I know you mentioned that you didn't have time to try adding the DRL wire in. Do you think it would work the same way? Split the LP6 yellow wire and have one...
