Noob question on rotations?

For the guys doing their own rotations, are there any issues with not balancing at the time of rotation. I've always had the DT "Rotate and Balance" for my Tacomas. Coming up on 5K so getting ready.

I never balance just rotate.

You only need to balance a tire if it’s out of balance. If you have no vibration before and after a rotation, roll on. If you have vibration after rotating a new tire in take that one to be rebalanced.
