Well the two panhandlers signs said Hungry Please Help and Hungry Will Work For Food , you can’t eat a rubber duck so I gave them a couple apples. The guy took the apples, turned to the other one and said as I was leaving , What R’ We Gonna Do With These ?! ? ?

I remember going door to door as a little shit in my cub scouts outfit trying to sell popcorn. At one house a girl opened the door and gave me a disgusted look as she pointed to the "No Soliciting" sign before closing the door in my face.

I, of course, had no f'n clue what a "soliciting" was, but she sure was pissed about it.

There's a difference between gifting with judgment, and gifting it all. I don't gift people money.

If you need to borrow money, go to a bank. If you can't get approved for loan, go to your friends and family. I will occasionally loan money to friends and family, but there's always a repayment plan, and it's never more than I'm willing to lose. The repayment plan varies depending on the situation and the amount of money.

A couple of years ago, I was working on a truck I had. At the time, only my feet were sticking out from under it. The neighborhood was relatively new at that point and people were trying to sell solar a lot. A young lady walked up and was like, "Excuse me sir." I politely said, "If you selling something, I am not interested." She proceeded to talk to me anyway to the point I had to yell out asking if she couldnt understand english that I am under my damn truck and Im not interested. She acted like she never heard any of that and laid her card at my feet before walking away. I know door to door sales is a rough gig but damn. Some of folk's attitude towards them is because they wont just go on after being told we dont want it.

I saw someone handing out new sleeping bags to probably 20-30 homeless people in a nearby town this weekend. Glad to see there are people that have the heart to give without expecting something in return. They may only receive one thank you, but knowing you are doing someone to help your fellow "man" may mean that you are the one that receives the greater blessing.

I don't often hand out cash to strangers, but on occasion I feel a nudge to help someone and I try to do whatever my heart/conscience is telling me. I hope if I'm ever in their circumstance that someone would be willing to lend me a helping hand.

It is more blessed to give than to receive...

I stopped a person at our front door about 30 seconds into his sales pitch for solar panels. I said nicely, “oh no thank you, have a nice day“ and quietly closed the door. You can clearly see we have plenty of solar panels from the street if you have any situational awareness.
i watched on our security camera as he scribbled something on a post-it note and put it under the wiper of my truck. It read “your and asshole!!!!!”. I thought, and you are the spelling bee champ of the day. At least he made me laugh.

you guys are doing it all wrong, i wear a robe and sweats when i go out, if someone asks me for something I ask them for the same thing and tell them its rude if they don't also give me something of the equal value. I also have a beard down to my belt so i feel alot of people just think im also homeless and i stole my jeep. its good
