New Wrangler order help. Paint constraint / delay?

Hello all! Ive have a 2005 Wrangler two door and finally decided to buy a new "family" Wrangler. I placed the order early December and as of today it's still not been made. Dealer was able to figure that the color I ordered it in was out of stock.

My question is does anyone out there know anything about the paint situation...? Does it come in from outside the country? Any thoughts as to how much longer I'd have to wait? I know as soon as they get the restock in paint I'll have it within a week or so.

How do they run out of Sarge Green? It seems odd. Any help and thanks!

Did the dealer place the order in your name? If so, he should be able to give you a POC - Pricing Order Confirmation. It’ll list the options and accessories and have your name on it. My dealer gave me the POC for my ordered Wrangler the day after I ordered. It matches what’s waiting for me to pickup on Friday.

if he placed the order in December, it should get built in the color you ordered.

I doubt you’re being told the truth. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some Sarge Green deliveries reported recently here.

I bought a Sarge Green last month from dealer inventory because my ordered unit is nowhere and the dealer was lying to me.

I just looked on Jeep’s website and it shows 12 of that color in transit to or at dealers within 100 miles of where I live.

Out of stock paint? That's a new one. ?

Whatever the holdup is, once it's built it, its highly unlikely that you'll have it in a week or so.
