New LCA versus Front Alignment

I will be replacing my 2024 4XE Rubicon Lower Control Arms with new 68322798AA (same as in the Mopar 2" Lift Kit).

Since it will only change my caster, do I really need to have a front alignment have the install ?

No, you don’t have to.

The arms you're installing aren't adjustable, so the shop can't do any aligning. They can check your alignment and/or give you the numbers but caster will be what it is. Camber also isn't adjustable. The only thing they could change is the toe, but you aren't touching the tie rod so there's no reason it would need adjusted.

IIRC, you won't need an alignment but you will need to re-center your steering wheel by adjusting the drag link.

When I changed my LCA (with the 68322798AA) on my 2018 Rubicon, I had to do an alignment... But I still had to recenter my steering wheel myself !

I got my LCA replaced today.

My steering wheel moved a tiny bit to the left, so little off that I might just keep it like that. Does it make sense that it only shifted my steering wheel a bit to the left ?

As with my 2018 back then, the LCA were about 1/4 inch longer than the stock ones !

Yes, it should just be a slight adjustment to the drag link.

I agree. When I installed my lift, the steering wheel was no longer centered. It was close. On my test drive, I got some type of warning light. After recentering the wheel, the light went away. IIRC, the warning light was caused by the lane departure system.
