I love the stance of this vehicle! This would be perfect for me in two door.

That is a Mopar 2-inch lift, Quadratec wheels and 35x12.5 General Grabber ATX tires.

Basically, you are looking at a 17x8.5 wheel, with 5.2 inches of backspacing. That is 1-inch more in width and 1-inch less in b.s. vs OE. Any of these wheels will give you that stance: https://www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep_wheels/alloy_wheels/?f[0]=sm_field_brand:taxonomy_term:13&f[1]=sm_field_brand:taxonomy_term:4738

In response to the Willys Sport (yes the video was buzzing in the other forum); does anyone know of any dealers in PA that has them? I would like to try driving it with the different suspension. Is that stock or is it something that I have to specify when ordering it?

To upgrade to more than 32's do I need different wheels or will those handle the larger tires? I am assuming that there will be plenty of clearance?

I will apologize now: I will have lots of questions. If I decided to do this I want to make sure I do it right.
You can get 33s on a willys without a lift, and you can use the same wheels. For 35s you will need a lift and new wheels. Unless you get pizza cutters.

Keep in mind if you are not really off roading then the 35s are overkill and you should understand the cost and all the cons of going with 35s.

Yeah, I could get in trouble with that. :like:

But, it's not '70s retro. Don't know, maybe put some white wagons on it. Maybe one of those jock in the box heads on the antenna.?
It just needs some silver wheels, that is all.

You should be able to go up to a 33, but to go any bigger you're going to need to do something to increase your clearance (lift and/or high clearance fenders and get different offset wheels unless you stick with an 11.5" wide tire).

He would need more than high fenders. The willys has rubi shocks, but sport springs.

I stand corrected. I thought it had the springs too, but it looks like that's not the case.

I was not sure of the options tied to certain levels, but with the feedback and your elaboration: Sport S or Willys would probably be right up your alley.

A leveling kit will allow him to fit 33-inch tires on a Sport or Willys.

Agreed. Sport S <-> Willys appears to be where the sweet spot of the current Wrangler lineup is.

I agree with the Willys assessment but it looks like you'd do better with the Willys over the Willys Sport. The Willys looks like it has the most of what you are looking for but the leather seats would likely be an aftermarket add-on or seat swap.

As for a lift, you will probably get the minimal lift with just finding someone getting rid of the 4 door Rubi springs, at least enough to fit the 33s comfortably. With another lift, you are fine with the drivetrain and other warranty items. Changing the lift would only invalidate the warranty for the parts that you change or parts that are affected by those that you change.

I don't have any experience with the 4 cyl. but I have been satisfied with the V6, even coming from the I6.

That reminds me: the Jeep dealer should be able to add leather seats by Katzkin, who supplies the leather seats to the factory, for $1,500, including installation. That is roughly the same as buying the leather seats from the factory. Embroidering any logos is extra, though.

I got the Katzkin leather seats in my Sahara; they look factory.

The beauty of having the dealer add leather seats is that you are not limited to black. A Sarge Green Jeep with Saddle leather would look totally bitching!

PS - my humble Sahara with rear LSD, Mopar 2-inch lift and 35-inch Generals is amazingly capable on the trails.

First picture is photoshopped, It is clearly a Rubicon spec'd like your Sahara. the second picture is a lookout next to a paved highway. A Sahara cannot go offroad.

Some more:
  • “It has got to be a Rubicon with a Sahara hood!”
  • That second pic: “Is that a mural of the mountains painted on the side of a mall?”
