On the surface, it sounds like the dealer is trying to make it right. However . . . . he also REALLY wants to be rid of it. I think post #9 nails it. I'd move on from this one since there is no history.

G.
They said the guy that sold it to them buys and sells cars ever two year to them but I won't know if they are lie or not

The factory stabilizer is a known failure point. It's had like 3 recalls and has an extended warranty on the part itself due to the excessive failures it has. If the vehicle is otherwise stock just let them replace the stabilizer and enjoy the Jeep.
Maybe if I put a heavy duty stabilizer in it? I'm just looking for reliable safe car as I drive on the highway every day that's my concern

MOPAR offers a FOX stabilizer which will solve all your issues. If they put another factory one in it it could honestly fail at any time. The dealer can order and install it for you

Most likely, as it's the only "upgraded" stabilizer that Mopar offers. The new stabilizer will come with a 2 year unlimited mile warranty through Mopar. You won't be able to get it covered under the factory warranty extension anymore, however.

Assuming you leave the vehicle stock that fox stabilizer will last a very long time. It also takes like five minutes to replace, so it isn't a thing that requires a dealer visit honestly if you did have to replace it yourself.

Strongly suggest doing going the fox shock route. It's worth it.

Death wobble is an indicator of a problem in the steering system, a steering stabilizer will only mask this. 3000 miles is very low for a wear issue to arise, you are likely looking at a loose fastener or a possible manufacturing defect. throwing parts at the problem isn't a good starting point.

the thread below should give you some good information on tracking down the problem or helping a mechanic track it down.

Thx u have been helpful but if I did the aftermarket can they later argue that that caused other suspension issues and now nothing is covered?

No. It's a MOPAR direct upgraded part. MOPAR is Jeep's parts division if you were unware. All MOPAR upgrade components are confirmed to never void any factory warranty. It's one of the reasons they sell well compared to regular aftermarket components.

Make sure they're ordering the MOPAR FOX shock and not a cheap 3rd party option. Since you just bought it they might be trying to cheap out on it. Clarify it with your service advisor to make sure.

If you're interested in other upgrades jeep has a parts catalog with factory backed components here: https://www.mopar.com/content/dam/mopar/pdf/mopar-cap/Jeep_Performance_Parts_Catalog_F4_LORES.pdf

Did you not get a Carfax? It would say if it was a lease or not and any other mechanical history (if reported). I would never trust a dealer to tell me the history of a car. It is always “Oh, it was driven by an old lady or mechanic“.

Hard to say what it is exactly without seeing it, Jeep steering isn't super expensive, most likely is a ball joint or other bolt that needs tightening to spec but making sure your tires are evenly inflated, and not worn funny and getting the dealership to throw it on the alignment rack would go quite a ways to diagnosing this without spending big money.

what is it about this jeep that you are so stuck on buying it? something is not adding up. first you said they offered to let you out of the deal now you say you don't know if they will. If they are not willing to let you out get a lawyer. that in itself is more than enough to make me 100% leary of this vehicle. also when was it first put into service?
