Need Help Please. CV Joint leak

I had my ball joints replaced two days again but now I see this on the passenger side.
Please let me know what could have gone wrong. Any help would be appreciated

thats grease coming from the CV Joint/Boot, usually means the boot is torn. Clean the grease off and check for a tear in the rubber....

Looks like it was torn, probably during BJ install.

Hard to tell from the picture but is there a metal band around the boot or not? There should be.

I cleaned it up and the metal strap is there. I guess the boot tore during the ball joint install. My mechanic will fix at no charge I just had to buy the part but I'll still pay him for his time.

These are Dynatrac ball joints so they are not the factory ones. The safety snap ring was able to go on top.

were you able to order just the boot? I can't find where the boot alone can be purchased, only the entire CV shaft. I even looked on the McKinney Jeep website. Thanks!

I couldn't order just the boot, had to order to complete axle shaft assembly. If you have the boot part number please post it.

My 2021 has a tear and the axle shaft is being covered under warranty.

There is a 4 week back order they say.
