Nav going haywire

Our Uconnect navagation seems to have developed a mind of her own. We recently took a trip from PA to WI and the nav directions to places we wanted to visit took us on the most outrageous routes. Instead of direct routes we were sent through communities, small roads, back streets, etc. Has anyone ever had this experience? I checked the nav settings and nothing out of the ordinary was found.

I haven't checked the settings in some time on the account that UConnect seems to think we live about a hundred miles offshore of San Diego, but I believe there are options such as avoiding highways, tolls, etc. Possibly one of those has been selected.

Not a direct answer, but have you considered using Android Auto or CarPlay instead? Either are nearly a decade ahead of the built-in Nav. They are also updated constantly and without requiring a fee for the updates.

Use Android Auto or CarPlay to use your phone's nav apps. Built-in nav is terrible by comparison.
This applies to any vehicle, not just Jeep.

Yes I have had it happen when there was an accident on the freeway mine directed me in a crazy route. Actually that was Apple car play. I think you can set your preferences to avoid freeways total roads. And choose eco fast or ??

After buying my ‘21 I had this experience. Crazy routes. Settings were to avoid highways tolwwYs etc. I changed settings and very happy with it now.
