I have a 2018 3.6l JL Rubicon. We were out on the trail and were cruising in 2WD with the sway bar disconnected ( I have the taser jl mini with the swaykill so we were cruising at about 30-40 mph for like 1-2 miles down the trail, which has never caused any issues in the past). We got to the start of the obstacles so we shifted into 4High and drove down the trail another .5 miles or so with no issues. As soon as we shifted into 4Low and hit 3rd gear the Serv. 4WD light came on and the sway bar reconnected and the dash said all electronic traction devices were unavailable. On the dash it would no longer show which mode the transfer case was in. We turned it off and back on and it all worked great until it hit 3rd gear again and all the lights and warnings came back on. So we decided to turn around and head home in 2WD. On the way back it worked fine and didn't throw any lights or warnings. I read that it might just be dirty wheel speed sensors so I cleaned them real well and inspected my wiring and found no obvious issues. I got back in and went to see if it fixed and it showed all the same lights and warning as soon as I shifted out of 2WD. I tried to turn it off and on again and it continued to show all the lights and not show which mode the transfer case was in. I drove it back parked it and now it is throwing 5 different codes.
P1DB6-00 -Vehicle Speed Signal Performance
P215C-00 -Output Shaft Wheel Speed Correlation
u1514-87 -Engine Controller Secret Code Missing
U0403-00 -Implausible Data Received from Transfer Case
C1403-92 -Transfer Case Ranger Position Sensor Performance

Im at a loss and I'm not sure what to do or where to start. I really don't want to take it to a dealership so any guidance would be greatly appreciated

I figured out the issue I was having! Sadly it turns out I just made a ridiculous mistake that cost a lot of money and time in the dealership. I took it to the dealer because I had given up on finding the issue myself. After they had it for a few days and kept calling wanting to throw parts at it, I decided to just take it back and send it to my cousin who I know would do a really thorough job in finding the issue. As I was picking it up, he asked if I had regeared it and I told him yes, but it was years prior. It got me thinking and I realized I had remarried my taser and I knew I changed the tire size but I wasnt sure if I changed the gear ratio. As soon as I got home I checked and I never did. As soon as I adjusted the gear ratio all the issues I was having just vanished. I think the 8 speed did a good enough job making up for the misgearing in 2wd but couldnt quite handle dropping it into 4low. I hate myself for spending about $800 dollars and about a month of it being parked and working on it every chance I had, but Im so glad its fixed and thats all it was.

That won't do any of this. You took a big dose of placebo here.

I would usually agree with you. It didnt seem likely that it was the issue, but I cant argue with the jeep and how it is acting. When it first happened, it was the first time going offroad and putting it into 4low since messing with the taser. Every single time I put it in 4low it did it the second the trans shifted into 3rd gear. Like clock work. It also shifted super hard in 4low which Im not sure I said in my first post. I tried probably 30-40 times over the few weeks I was trying to figure it out before taking it to the dealer. The dealer tried multiple times to verify and found the exact same things. When it left the dealer parking lot, it was still doing it exactly the same things. The second I adjusted the gear ratio the problem vanished. 4.10 to 5.13. It literally vanished. No lights, no hard shifts, no codes. I have again tried many times to recreate it since. Probably about 15 times by now. If I had to guess, all the modules and computers were reading the wheel speed different than what the transfer case or transmission was reading some how and I think thats what was throwing the codes. Again I didnt really believe thats all it was at first but it literally vanished and I cant think of whatever else it couldve been. If you have any ideas let me know, but so far its been working like a dream.

glad it sounds like you got it sorted out.

curious about a couple of things; did you mess with the Transfer Case Ratio on the Taser? (do you have the 2.72:1 case or the 4:1 case?)

did you leave the Taser in place when the Dealer saw it?

No I didn’t mess with the transfer case ratio. It has the 4:1.
And yes I did. I meant to take it off but forgot and it’s not under warranty anymore so they didn’t mention anything about it

Im so glad that I ran into this thread. I purchased a used 392 and he must have reset the settings by unmarried the 392 when he sold it. I had to find out from the carfax that he had 27x package which regards and increased tire size. Now I can go into 4low without all the codes thrown at me and limp mode.
