I use a Scepter water can on my rig and wanted a simple battery pump setup for camp, but the adapters and pump fits I tried were pretty hit or miss. Some were loose, some didn’t fit my pump right, and some just didn’t inspire much confidence once installed.

So I ended up making my own version. I call it the Adapt-A-Pump. It’s adjustable for different pump sizes, uses different O-ring/groove fit options, and is printed in ASA so it makes more sense for hot vehicle and outdoor use.

Been running it on my setup and so far it’s been the first one that felt solid and reliable.

Curious if anyone else has run into the same issue with the Amazon-style battery pumps on Scepter cans.

If there’s interest I can share more details.

Photos show: the adapter installed on the can, then fitted with a larger pump and a smaller pump since the pump housings can vary quite a bit.
