This IS a plug for my How-To oriented YouTube channel. I do some other things but that’s my most popular

Hey all, I’m seeing a lot of new members here and wanted to introduce myself and my small YouTube channel that I do on the side when I can. I make How-To videos as something pops up on my own Hero

I’m a former USAF F-16 Crew Chief, performance automotive machinist, and lifelong car guy who made the switch to Jeep in 2019. I’ve managed to learn a lot about them here from the very knowledgeable members that pass though the forums here but in my videos I also apply what I’ve picked up through the years.

I’ve been doing this channel part time for 5 years and I’m just coming up on 1k subscribers to finally get monetized and hopefully help with shop supplies but more importantly, it’s just a nice milestone to hit.

I’m currently at 971 subscribers and need to get past 1k. If you have a YouTube account, can you help a guy out? It’s free.

Thanks to everyone that’s already subscribed through the years. I hope I’ve contributed enough to earn the plug for the channel.

To subscribe, hit the link in my signature. That should take you to my page. I’d watch something at least 10 secs so YT doesn’t think you’re a bot.

Thanks👍🏼

I had already previously subscribed so I can’t help you out there, but your videos are well done and informative. I try to point others in your direction on related topics. I’m sure the filming and editing adds a great deal of time to an already lengthy repair project. Thanks

Thank you. I try to look at it from the point of view of someone who hasn’t done it before yet give details that the experienced are looking for too.

My new 3.6 cylinder head stud install video is a long one though I really trimmed it down. There’s just some details that need to be driven home and not glossed over for beginners, just the way I learned it at SamTech and as an F-16 Crew Chief. That said, there’s also 46 chapters with descriptions so anyone can skip around and get to the info they need again. It’s definitely my best quality video yet. Thing is, it’s pretty niche and probably won’t get the views my transmission service video gets. I’ve gotta figure out what to do next.

I was curious after my rocker/cam failure last year and the metal debris it caused. Everything else is off, so I went ahead and removed the pan, took the oil pump off, and opened up the oil pump. Only found two gouges in the housing from the vanes rotating against them. It would’ve been fine but yeah, that metal does get past the pickup screen. Between the first day I heard the ticking sound and the day I dropped it off at the dealership for the cam shafts because they could get the parts faster than I could, that was less than 200 miles. I might do a short on that.
