Maybe I can lend you some advice.
It's 2025, and other people will continue to purchase new/used Wranglers and search forums and so fourth looking for up-to-date and more relevant information, instead of post from years ago.

As I have done so myself, but I still wanted to present this situation to the public forum for others to see that it is still an issue you can run into, prime example calling JEEP service and them STILL giving horrible "advice" with a known problem. Perhaps there are new, previously updated, or past products that were once recommended but others had issues with that they would NOT recommend the additional expense towards. Idk, just a thought 🤔
It's the SAME ADVICE EVERY TIME

Was it warm outside when you test-drove and cold outside when you had the death wobble by any chance?
Actually it was the opposite- the first 2 times I test drove this it was below 40 and it wasn't warmed up.
The 3rd and final drive when I drove it home they had just gotten it back from having all new brakes put on and driven it back to the lot, and was 65 out.

I would assume some Jeep trade in's are trying to off load the death wobble the previous owner had.
Buyer beware.

100% I'm certain in this case, that being said the reason I did purchase was 1- perfect oil change history no more than 4-5k between each. 2. 2018 model below average miles and I can service all the fluids myself, including the transmission.
3. immaculate underbody. I think the original owner had it as an only summer vehicle, seeing this is ohio/rust belt.
I went into this knowing I was going to have to address the front end in some fashion.
I showed up in my muddy Wrangler and pinpointed some things and after a week, was able to drive away after taxes, title, registration for $600 under their original asking price. Not at all dissapointed I just want to spend the money on the proper parts that will last so now I'm looking at either Synergy or Metal Cloak.

Having an F-350 with a D60 solid front axle, DW is a concern in that world as well, (actually any solid axle front end).
I've always made it a habit to avoid "Dry Steering". Turning the wheels on these types of vehicles without rolling, will definitely shorten the life of the steering joints. IMO, these non-greaseable OEM steering components they give us suck.
Of course, there are other causes for DW too, so just sayin... 🙂

We are on our 6th Wrangler 4 have had wobble. Her current is a 21 JLU with about 55,000 miles. It started a few months ago. I did the Heavy Duty Track Bar first and then weekend before last I did all 4 Ball joints. She says it feels great and she has tried to induce without any success. I will be doing the rest of the steering components before long. I want to zero everything out before going to bigger tires etc...

I have 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. About 4 years ago I had experienced Death Wobble. I took it to the dealer and they replaced my steering damper/stabilizer and I have had no problem since. It cost $246 to fix as my warranty was no longer valid. After further research I found that there is actually a recall, V41. I contacted [email protected] and they told me to send them my receipt from the dealer and they reimbursed me the total cost. The mechanic at the dealer also informed me that the damper has to be primed before installation and that some dealers didn't know that and that is why it wasn't fixing the problem, so make sure they prime it before installation. And for those out there who think that this fix is BS I don't need to hear your input because this fixed my problem and it's been over 4 years. A Recall doesn't lie. Thank you and have a great day!!!

I did check it. This one was not wallowed at all. One of our previous Wranglers was. I remember having to Line Ream the bracket and the end of the track bar for a larger bolt. That was a big time bugger of a job. The inside of the track bar end fitting must have been hardened. Felt near impossible to get the drill through

I would go with Synergy. I've personally seen their rigs in town. (They're local) They push their rigs hard to test their parts, from what I've seen online and have heard nothing but good things. They also seem like a good bunch of people that care about their customers. They've responded to messages on comments I leave on IG too. It has left me with a good impression. When I need to replace my parts, I will be going with them as well.

My money is on the 18’ wheels. Swap those out and you should be good.
I could see that either mitigating or exacerbating the onset of DW but not solving the main cause.
I already planned on switching to 33's on 17's.

I had DW on my 2023 JL with 20K miles. the track bar was totally worn out, it had almost 1" play when I moved the steering wheel right/left. I replaced the track bar with Rock Krawler and the stabilizer with Fox, DW went away, but it still has a tremor, like it wants to go into a DW when I travel over rough pavement. I am sure mine is a combination of problems I haven't fully found yet. sad this is on a new Jeep with few miles. you can check your track bar by having someone move the steering wheel back and forth while you watch the track bar. If the axel moves while the track bar stays steady, it is worn out. Hope this helps.
