Anyone else's Jeep do this?? Mine does every morning or after sitting for a while at work. It'll do it for about the first 100 yards. Coming from the brakes. If I don't use my parking brake, it doesn't happen. Something is going on with the parking brake or rear brakes. It's now at the dealership for the second time to see if they can sort it out. The mechanic I talked to actually asked me if it's a mechanical or electric parking brake. Really? I asked if they can check the rear brakes and adjust/lubricate the calipers or possibly adjust the parking brake cable as it seems it's not releasing fully. He told me I should just stop using the parking brake. I can't stand it.

What if you pull up on the emergency brake a little bit, putting it on slightly for a few rotations of the wheel (25-30 feet) . Does it go away after that?

When my wife starts to get on me about something, yammering away with criticism, initially I hear the words. But after a few minutes, although I still see her lips moving, all I hear is a shrill, annoying squeaking, very much like your rear brakes in your video! (Actually, just joking; we get along very well.)

Joking aside, I agree with @DavidES1 - a sticky brake caliper.

Because of the phenomenon of habituation, the longer you’re married, the less you’ll hear sounds in a certain frequency range. The stern look though.

I do pull up my parking break with every park, and I do hear the squeak every once in awhile.

They said they took the rear brakes off and lubricated everything and reinstalled. The work order also said, "moved parking brake cable away from control arm." Either way, the noise is gone. Sticky brake caliper? Could the parking brake cable have been kinked?

My gladiator makes this exact same noise regardless of whether parking brake was used or not. I do feel like when I yank on the brake and let it drag while moving, the sound does go away. But it’s still annoying leaving my workplace and everyone can hear it. It happens more on cold mornings than any other time.

I’ve begun having the same noises on my Gladiator. I’ll try the parking brake trick to see if that solves it.

I was having the same problem and also took my 2021 Jeep JL Wrangler to the dealer, with no luck. They said it's normal. I ended up pulling the wheel off and found out where it was coming from. On the outerside of each axle there is a hard plastic fin dust cover that spins freely and keeps the dust from getting into the axle. When I first spun it, it actually made a squeaking noise....tada, that's it. I ened up putting silicone spray on both Divers and passenger side. Drove it at low speeds with success and no more squeaking. Hopefully this solves your problem as well. Attached is a photo of the finned dust cover and a video after putting silicone on it.
