The only thing I don't like about the redesign is moving the signals out on the fenders. A lot of people put kits on that require larger fenders. Now you're talking about having to deal with all that wiring and signals out there.

I am sure aftermarket parts for 2018 models will include signals in fenders. I am looking forward to suing cool aftermarket parts.

look at the tires closely are 285 70 17? Not digging the red dash I hope they offer alternatives. Rubicon is the name of a river that Caesar crossed on his way to Rome It became sort of a point of no return, a challenge overcome. Sort of ( correct me history buffs) Rubicon has nothing to to with Rubys or the color red. Many of us don't like red > I have never owned a red car. I can't imagine that the red will go along with say nacho, or yellow or gecko green. So I really hope that it just some additional camo

My wife’s Renegade Trail Hawk is yellow/black with the red accents and it all works together well. But I don’t know about a full red dashboard though.

Good god is that anvil color gorgeous

any one know if this color combination has been released, or spied? It would look amazing with that new colored dash, and a red leather boot around the shifter!

"Anvil" is actually a Battleship gray , solid color. The lights reflection off that color, if it is "Anvil" is nothing like the "Anvil" on my 2015 Sport.

That 2dr is a 10th Anniversary and is in fact Anvil. There is only one "Anvil"- it just looks different depending upon lighting.

Rubicon is the name of a river that Caesar crossed on his way to Rome It became sort of a point of no return, a challenge overcome. Sort of ( correct me history buffs) Rubicon has nothing to to with Rubys or the color red.

The Wrangler Rubicon is named after the trail in California near Lake Tahoe. However, the source of the name of the Italian river you speak of is due to its red colour from the surrounding fertile red earth. The only reason it became synonymous with an irreversible task was because of Caesar crossing this red river and triggering Civil war. The river itself was named before the act of crossing it obviously.

While the Rubicon trail is named after the task, the origin is still the colour.

Not that either matter in keeping it a single colour for the dash. It would just as likely be red for the giant Sequoias (Redwoods) in the area.

Red will work fine; one only need look at the HardRock’s Rubicon lettering on the various colours like Baja or Hyper Green.

And if you don’t like it, there’s always Plasti-dip and masking tape.

I really hope that red is not the sole color offered for the interior. I will literally buy a Sahara to avoid it and piece together the Rubicon pieces myself, or just swap the entire top of the dash.

I too hope it’s not the only colour, but it’s not like we haven’t been stuck with a single colour before in the past, be it industrial dross grey/gray/gahhh or heart of darkness black/blahh.

Either way, it’s likely an easy fix, and if not at least it looks smoother than the current pebbled black surfaces, and therefore not only easier to clean, but easier to keep hold of stickers/decals to cover the smooth dash and add your own character to it.

Also, very likely the Aftermarket will offer 8billion shades of overlays on eBay like they do now for vent rings, grab bars, steering wheel, and bezels.

I swore I saw a spy shot that showed a silver painted dash in place of the red. I'm betting there are at least several colors. I also hope Rubicons aren't stuck with the red, although it still might look good with a black interior. I don't think it would look great with a blue exterior, though. Hopefully we'll see soon!

The recent user guide shows a guuuhhh option in the example. I’ll take red over gaahhh for any exterior colour.
