  1. JK frame being bent by side steps

Yea, certainly found that out the hard way! I have been asking around, and getting conflicting advice, some people say just get a fab shop to bend that back out, others saying axe the steps I have and get other steps that mount to the body to frame mount you just pointed out. As with every...
  2. Black Friday / Cyber Monday Jeep Accessories & Upgrades Deals Nov 23 / 26 - Post your finds here!

This may sound like a stupid question, but I just went to ACE's website based on their package deals, and noted the following language: "All products sold by ACE Engineering, LLC are sold for off road use only. Any other use or application is the responsibility of the purchaser and/or user."...
  3. JK frame being bent by side steps

Hi Ruben. This is not a pic of my vehicle, it is actually a pic from an install manual for LOD side steps. But it works great for showing you what I am talking about. In the picture, on the right hand side, you see the pinch weld and the steps being secured through the pinch weld, as are mine...
  4. JK frame being bent by side steps

Valid point. That has been a sore point pretty regularly on here so I should have been more aware.
  5. JK frame being bent by side steps

I don’t take you as being a jerk, I just made a post referencing the fact that I may have been confusing people a bit because I still have my JK. I have been on this site since March of last year, and like I said, once in a while it escapes me that this is a JL site and I still have a JK. I...
  6. JK frame being bent by side steps

I apologize if I didn’t mention I still have a JK. I have been posting on this site so long in anticipation of the JL that I sometimes forget it is not a general Wrangler / Jk site. So we are talking a JK here. Not planning to get a JL for a couple more years, although this issue could...
  7. JK frame being bent by side steps

Quadratec Qrc side armor with step. They mount in 6 spots on the pinch weld, and there are 3 spots underneath the vehicle which are pre-threaded where they mount to as well. It is those 3 spots that are essentially being crushed in. And I know the one question people will start thinking if...
  8. JK frame being bent by side steps

I wish I meant the pinch weld, but no, I meant the frame. I didn’t take pics, but I can and will post them. The pinch weld bent too at the 3 mounting points, but I was able to straighten that back out again using two mending plates to McGyver that straight again. But I don’t see a way to...
  9. JK frame being bent by side steps

i bought some side steps for my JK wrangler and noticed lately the driver side sagging, so I assumed the side step was bending at the weld and was defective. However when I took them off to return them (vendor sent me replacements), turns out that it wasn’t the side steps at all, instead, where...
  10. Steel Bumpers

what do you guys know about Havoc Offroads bumpers? I really like their eliminator bumper for the JK, which I am going to keep for a couple more years, but I don't know much of anything about them.
  11. Rampage Products JL Wrangler Products & Build [SEMA 2018 - JLWF Coverage]

I really like the look of their products, but not real familiar with their quality, and have not been able to find much online. Anyone use their products? Mostly interested in their bumpers. Thanks!
  12. Check out that Wet Okole booth. Hint, Hint, Cough, Nudge...

With the popularity of the bright white Jeeps, why don't they make a black and white version? Have they ever, and they just get too dirty? That would be my guess. I am trying to find a very nice pair of black and white waterproof car seats if anyone knows of someone who makes good ones.
  13. People that have gone from "sporty" rides to a Wrangler... be honest now... do you regret it?

After my first wrangler, I bought a brand new mustang GT. Had it for 9 months, traded it in, and went back to a wrangler. Just bought my 4th one. Haven’t regretted it for a minute, other than the fact I took an absolute beating on the trade.
  14. Jeep Wrangler Celebrity Customs - Web Series Competition

Maria Menounos.... worth getting to know more about.... hottie.
  15. What song / music do you have to turn up in your JL? EDIT ***New JLWF playlist on Spotify***

Awwwwwww man, you better be careful, they could ban you from the site for putting "on the floor" on this site and torturing people with that song. hahaha. Talk about awful. the woman in it is gorgeous, and it is STILL almost unwatchable if you are forced to keep the volume up.
  16. Sun shade for JL Wrangler

I bought a spiderweb shade recently for my JK, and for me, it took Waaaaaaay too much of the open air feel away for me. I love nothing more than as I am driving to just take a quick glance up at the sky, day or night, and revel in its beauty, and I found that the mesh shade ruined that for me...
  17. JK CB Radio issues

I just got a new cb radio set up for my new JK (decided against the JL), and I am getting weird SWR readings. I have a uniden 510, 3 ft fire stick, and the rugged ridge spare tire mount. I was getting off the chart SWR in every channel at first, so I ground off the powder coating on the mount...
  18. 27,829 Jeep Wrangler Sales Sold in March, Most Ever Monthly!

I was wondering the same thing, but from a different perspective? Is this an indicator that the JL's are not being well received, and people are scooping up JK's at a record rate because soon, they will be gone?
  19. Jeep Wave or Lack Thereof

i live right outside of Philly, but spend a lot of time at the beach on the weekends, and at the beach, the wave is just about non-existent, which I attribute to the volume of them as discussed above. So for the most part, I get that, and typically don't initiate a wave all that frequently. The...
  20. What song / music do you have to turn up in your JL? EDIT ***New JLWF playlist on Spotify***

Just about one of the best driving songs around no matter what you are driving!!! I don't know why, but I also love blaring "Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle when driving. The song itself has nothing to do with driving, but it has a great driving vibe to me. The person who started this thread...
