I’m putting together a 2” mopar lift and just received these springs from Moparonlineparts.com. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but the front springs are scraped up like they’ve been through a wreck. Would you just touch them up and run them, or return/exchange? I’ve messed with cars for over 30 years never received springs like this. Maybe they
They were packed well so definitely not shipping damaged on route to me anyway. Opinions?

Thanks for the replies. I guess it will be a test of their customer service. I have quite a few more parts and accessories to order so I’ll be bummed if they don’t take care of this.

Looks like some idiot used a spring compressor on them
Yeah it’s crazy. My original springs have been in and out a couple times and still look new. I really can’t imagine what happened to these things

Someone who also has no clue how to use a spring compressor...even sadder considering you don't need compress them to install LOL>

RETURN THEM ASAP...corrosion starts there and corrosion and scrapes are perfect stress risers in the spring that can cause them to break.

This is what the rears look like. Borderline acceptable, but looks like they could be returns too. Not heavy gashes like the front, but light damage all along them.

It ain't right, and I wouldn't be happy either. Although, if they're willing to apply a credit or discount for the trouble, some gloss black Rustoleum will fix those right up.

Received an update, “these come loose from Mopar and tend to get scratched up during transit.” That explains the rears, but not the amount of damage on the fronts. Requesting replacement of the fronts. Seems like this could take a while…….
I guess this is the trade-off for not ordering a whole boxed kit. Here was a different angle on the fronts…you can see two tags which makes me think they were returns.

Those marks make it look like someone was using a prybar to slide them into the pockets.

i ordered mopar lift coils for my jk and they came the same way and had tags exactly the same way held on by wire tires all twisted up...I just hit them with a coat of paint..

Those coils don’t look compromised, I would sand the spots a bit, spray a couple coats of paint on them and call it a day….

I get the whole “ it shouldn’t have been sent out like that” or being upset that shit like this happens, but when I consider the bullshit I would have to endure to get it sorted out, no thanks….

I’d rather fix them up and run them, especially when it’s just cosmetic…. But then again, I’m wired a little differently than most…..🤣
