Question- Has anyone else installed the Mopar side steps on a JL?
If I correctly recall, the JK version had some sort of asphaultic pad to keep the metallic flange from directly contacting the underside of the Jeep. Essentially it is the floorboard that the threaded bolts insert into. A corrosion point with metal to metal and the wear factor.
Now, with PPF I am also going to place film on the vertical flange before bolting in to keep the step bracket directly off the painted surface and also use Loctite.
