Mopar MOAB High Performance Rockrails

Considering getting a pair of these for our JLUS. We need a rock rail that also functions as a side step for the wife. These seem to be advertised as such but do not appear to stick out very far from the pictures I've seen. Does anyone have these that can comment on how well they work as a step?

You can use them as a step, but they are not a very good step. Just enough to get your toes onto.

I agree. I like them but they aren’t much of a step. They are not much lower than the door sill anyway.

I don’t think I’ve ever stepped on mine - I just step over them.

I have a MOAB and don’t use it as a step, not big enough to comfortably put your foot on it.

For that kind of money, you can do a lot better with one of the 3rd party manufacturers.

LOD Destroyers or the Roam off-road steps.
