So I’ve got a 21 JLURD that came with factory halogens. Before I sold my 20 JLUS I swapped the headlights for the LED’s the Sport came with. Through JScan I was able to get everything to work properly for awhile. Now the passenger side Halo won’t come on no matter what I do. I had the halos set as my DRLS as I have the AAL fender chop led kit for my fenders and turn signals. I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell is going on with it. The options through JScan are great but sometimes super vague on what they do or do not do. Attached is 2 pictures of the passenger side wiring harness plugs to and from the headlight. It appears to have the 4 wire but one is not in the same place as the other 4. Any help would be VERY greatly appreciated. Thank you!

BTW the driver side halo has no problem working as a DRL

Yep! I’ll copy and paste my reply from a different thread in case anyone needs info.

I have a 21 JLURD that came stock with Halogens. I swapped in a set of OEM LED headlights and could never get the damn Halos to work. After reading way too many threads I finally got them to work and I’ll briefly explain what I did in case someone needs. Firstly it seems like at some point during 2021 Jeep started equipping the JL and JT(all models) with 4 pin connector harness to the headlights. Some jeeps left the factory with both the left and right side having the 4 pin connector. In my case the driver side headlight connector had out but the passenger side did not. Now if neither of your headlights have this you likely need the jumper cable that you have to wire into the BCM. Thank the maker I didn’t need that because the damn thing is discontinued and only a couple Mopar sites have them but they are $220. In my particular case I needed a new harness for the passenger side PN 68414409AB
If your Jeep came factory with halogens this part will say it’s not for your model based on the VIN. For $20 I rolled the dice based on a thread I read on the JT Forums.
After installing the harness which took all of 5 minute’s and I managed to not even have to take off the grill or headlight to do it. I followed the above settings on JSCAN and they are working perfectly! It took me months just to piece this info together. I hope this helps anyone looking to swap in a set of OEM LED’s and get them fully functioning with the halos.

Heck yeah glad you got it figured out. I was going to post the same harness as I just had the same Issue with My JT but my JL was already wired.

Connected the halo through fuse , but fender lights are brighter than the halos.

Generaly Halos are not that bright?
or Is it because of the fuse setup

any idea?

I have always wondered why the fender DRL's are blinding and the halo's are just on. I turn the DRL's on/off all the time depending on the mood/vibe of the ride. Heavy traffic, on. Light easy going drive, off.

Hey - reviving this old thread as I am attempting this with my 2020 JLU Sport S. It seems like the cable necessary for the halos to work is no longer sold individually by MOPAR, but I did see that Z Automotive has one which I believe should work nicely with the Tazer for coding once finished. Has anyone has any experience using this instead?

My 2018 was upgraded from halogen to LED's. I went with all Mopar factory LED upgrades. Unfortunately my 2018 doesn't have the extra wire for the turn signals to not hyper-flash on the dash only. The outside front & back flash correctly. The Tazer use to be able to reset the code. After a few updates it longer does. I need a resister with the correct resistance to remove the stupid message on my dash. I do like the Tazer and recommend it.

If you click my link you can see it is a cable harness, not the actual Tazer mini (made by the same company) that I am curious about. Glad to hear the Tazer works for the coding portion of the job though!
