Love the upgraded wheels. Lots of hate toward them in a few threads, but I think they look awesome... especially with your new 35’sHere are a few pics with the 35s....![]()

Do you have a pic of how the rear tire fits since upgrading to the 35s? BTW...nice looking ride.Sorry for the long wait....It fits....Sort of. It is resting on the lip of the bumper. Barely. I could put a couple washers on it to move it out a little and it might not touch. As is, it touches, but it does not hinder in any way the opening or shutting of the tailgate....more coming in a bit. I'm still working, but wanted to answer that question.
They definitely look awesome! Look forward to your thoughts when you get off-road.Here are a few pics with the 35s....![]()

I started with 5100s. After 20000 miles two of them started leaking. I had the RE 3.5 superfluous lift and it had always rode too harsh. If I hit wash board areas of road it bounced all over the place. I replaced the shocks with Fox 2.5 series shocks with external reservoirs that were specifically tuned for the jk by teraflex and fox. They transformed the ride of the Jeep. It soaks everything up now. Fox shocks will definitely be on my JL.I've got one on order as well. I'm just wondering how the gate will handle the spare.
If this kit is anything like your common budget boost JK lift or AEV kit where the stock geometry remains mostly the same, I seriously doubt the ride quality will change at all. Obviously, the Jeep will need to do more work to rotate the tires, but a lot of the shops that have been tinkering with their JLs for testing and engineering of their own products state that even with 37s installed, the tweaks to the Pentastar in combination with the much better gearing of the much better 8-speed auto state power loss is almost negligible compared to the JK, especially with 4.10s. None of us can speak for the 6-speed manual, but it's also improved in every area, so you'll probably be just fine.
As for shocks, I'm still a Bilstein fanboy and argue the 5100 is the perfect shock for 35s using any JK lift, but I've also wheeled and driven in a JK with Fox shocks and they do the job just fine. I'm not aware of anyone who's installed them and wish they'd gotten something else.
I know, you want someone who's actually done it to chime in, but I think we're both going to be more than satisfied.
I've had 5100s on all three of the JKs I owned, punished them and then some, and not once had a problem. But I always bought them separate from the lift. My first JK came with an awful Procomp lift and my other two were Teraflex.I started with 5100s. After 20000 miles two of them started leaking. I had the RE 3.5 superfluous lift and it had always rode too harsh. If I hit wash board areas of road it bounced all over the place. Same as mine, I think the extra stability is worth a little rubbing. It is just BARELY touching, and resting on the steel bumper.

Yep. It certainly lowers stress on the hinges, which, btw, look big enough to shrug it off. MUCH beefier than my JK.That looks like a feature to me vs. a fault... And, think about it...when mounting, sit it on the bumper and you're right there with the lugs for the spare... Lemonade out of lemons kind of thing.
